Our Services


The Andariega Collective started off as a research group within the Chicana and Chicano Studies Program of San Jose State University. From there, the group developed into a strong friendship rooted in the spirit of Chicana feminism and comadrazgo. 

Much later, the group formed into a collective with direct service directed toward youth and a consultancy directed toward women working with youth.

Currently, the Andariega Collective remains as a collective of roaming women committed to improving outcomes and the quality of life for women and girls to to creating a more just society where we can all thrive. Facilitation and trainings remain available and are dependent on the request.

Mayahuel:
A Young Women's Resiliency Program 

Mayahuel is the Andariega Collective's signature program created to provide a safe space for young women ages 13‐19 that acknowledges diversity while working toward resiliency. Read More by Clicking Here
